Frank Hecker ponders weblog architecture

I just discovered Frank Hecker’s weblog. He has a whole heap of writeups outlining the design goals for his weblog and their implementation, including such things as clean and permanent URLs, aggregate pages, and more. I was already gravitating towards the same general approach he outlines, even though I’m not likely to use the same machinery parts to assemble my digs. It’s nice to find I’m not the only one who cares about these things, and to read about the process of building a fully working system that adheres to these principles.
