Dare Obasanjo reports that people have found Google favours Knol in seach results. It occurs to me that Google must; its hook to get people to write on Knol rather than Wikipedia is that writing there gets you a cut of your article’s AdSense revenue. But if these Knol pages don’t show up anywhere on search result pages, and therefore no one sees them, then their authors will get no money worth the mention.

Dare concludes:

I won’t bother with the question of whether Google is doing this on purpose or whether this is some innocent mistake. The important question is “What are they going to do about it now that we’ve found out?

Given the unfair favouritism’s bootstrap effect on Knol’s AdSense cuts enticement, I think the even more important question is: “And how soon?
